There Will Be Skyrim Mods, Dammit

Downloaded the Creation Kit sometime last week and it's consumed my very soul. Heh. Always wanted to do things in Morrowind or Oblivion—never did. This time I will! Skyrim shall feel my touch if not my wrath. But it's not being friendly.

Was up til 6am Sunday trapsing through things that weren't my fault. I really thought they were so I pushed. After a brief sleep I decided to hit the forums and found it wasn't me. That others have seen some of what I was banging my head against for a couple of weeks. *doh*

I had put Steam offline so I could tinker with files then turned it back on today. Got a little update! Looked for news on the site and forums, but nothing. Not sure what it did. Until I went to the Data Files:

Yay! Some explicit ordering. At least in appearances. This could solve a few problems I've encountered. For right now it means uncertainty. An excellent post on the forums had stuff figured out but now it has to be reviewed.

Did try to subscribe to the Spaceman thing via the Workshop but it wouldn't work. Not sure if it's Steam's fault or the client. Steam was pissed off though:

Despite this the Skyrim patch did go through so I'm confused. Maybe it was the connection to the Workshop. Whatever. Mod'ing is still to hackery to have anything so polished as the Workshop trying to oversee things. Good idea, though. Maybe it will work out.

On a side note, as an ex-Mormon I was a little unnerved to see an article on Steam about Skyrim and BYU. Turns out the mens choir did something that I'll have to go look at.

Signed Up for Guild Wars 2 Beta

Won't let myself get excited but I did sign up for the Guild Wars 2 Beta. Would be fun to get my own preview in.

Sadly the system sniffer reported my side monitor's resolution so it looks like I'm playing on something ancient. *sigh* Hope that doesn't screw my chances up.

The Next Couple of Months

Logged into Star Wars since WoW was doing weekly maintenance. Boredom. It's been just over a week since I ragequit and there was no draw. Checked mail, sent a few Slicing missions out, then logged off. I would like to finish some of the stories out. See if that happens before my first and last paid month runs out.

Why does WoW still have my attention after all this time? Not sure. Prolly the established comfort and familiarity. So until the world ends (Dialbo 3 is released) I'll be getting the rest of the alts into LFR. Shaman is almost done with the Paladin next. Also getting the horde DK ready for some RBGs.

Thankfully there's Ask Mr. Robot. No way I could keep up with the dynamics of each class.

Creating Carrot Pouch

Kingdoms of Amalaur Day is here and there's streams a'plenty. Normally I'd watch Lore doing things and Twitch shows him #3. Yet Felicia Day is steaming with some guy Day9. She is always so funny and the guy is kinda cute, so that's where I'm at. Character creation has been hilarious so far with Felicia seeing similarities... Bioware Doing a Few Things

Today's patch notes finally show a few things happening. Being able to use the Pacify/Diversion ability on Operation bosses was imba so it's an appropriate nerf. Yet the Sentinel Watchman tree fixes were very interesting:

This validates one of my paranoid conspiracy theories about why we don't have a combat log. If the user community could see what was going on this set of bugs would have been found a long time ago. And been complained about long and hard. I'm sure there are plenty of other problems like this live yet no one can authoritatively say they exist. Saves their forums and image. Sigh.

Very busy in Warcraft right now. Currently Love is in the Air is going while the Lunar Festival (pet) winds down along with it being Darkmoon Faire week. *dizzy*

So far the mage has been pretty luck getting both the pet and the funky mask.

Approaching Bug Critical Mass

Fuck. Really tired of this bug. Will fail with the quest tracked and un-tracked, so I'm not buying into any urban legends. It wouldn't be a big deal if Republic would win more matches on my server. Guess it's time for WoW. Try for the Valentines mount and farm guild rep with the red envelopes. *sigh*

Looks like the GTN eMails no longer include who bought the item you posted. It was another source of names for gold sellers but seems a little paranoid. Actually… just noticed it no longer even includes the item that was sold. Silly.
